PAISAC in a nutshell

Since 2002, the African and Caribbean International Sport Support Programme, whose acronym is PAISAC, has been offering training in applied sports sciences to coaches receiving Olympic Solidarity (IOC) grants. This program, which was first established in Montreal (Canada), offers high-quality training, in French and in English, in partnership with the Canadian Coaching Association (ACE).

In 2022, PAISAC opened a new training program in Lausanne (Switzerland) in French only, in collaboration with Swiss Olympic, OFSPO and UNIL.

All these courses for stock exchange coaches are offered through an innovative formula combiningOnline learning (e-learning) and the Face-to-face, thus offering great flexibility to each participant.

Activities offered by Paisac

The main mandate of PAISAC is to offer training to Olympic Solidarity scholarship coaches. In parallel, and with a view to sustainable development, PAISAC organizes, in parallel, Seminars in collaboration with its partner National Olympic Committees.

External seminars

Training seminars in applied sports science organized in the heart of partner countries in collaboration with the NOCs.

These seminars, organized over ten days, make it possible to offer a greater number of coaches access to quality training.

“Having come to the 29th session of PAISAC to acquire skills in order to help African coaches to be able to implement a long-term athlete development plan in their respective countries taking into account the contextual realities of each of them, I return to my country very satisfied. Indeed, I think I have largely fulfilled my expectations and therefore I am ready to play this role fully and successfully. This is thanks to the theoretical and practical background that I am bringing back at the end of these four weeks of exchanges.”

This training represents a fantastic opportunity for trainee coaches, trainers and resource persons from PAISAC and the NCCP to share experiences. The PAISAC program, which has a long-term vision and works towards sustainable development, also enables us to update our knowledge and improve our skills for better athlete development, better team management and optimal understanding of high-level sport.  Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

The different experiences and notions I have acquired will be very useful in my life as a coach and in my professional career. All this would not have been possible without the excellent organization, the quality of the trainers and the warmth of the host families.
